Next up? Ethan….. Our son HATES to wear shoes. He is always barefooted at all times possible. He climbed on the car and jumped off. This is something he does all the time, doesn’t surprise me. He jumps off his bunk bed, out of trees out of swings etc… Nothing new for him. But I guess this time he landed really wrong because the next day he woke up with a very sore swollen heel.
I took him in for an x-ray. No fracture, but a wounded/hurt growth plate and a bone contusion (bone bruise). So he got a lovely half cast and some crutches to help it heal for a couple days! Silly kiddos!

Ethan will never forget starting school on crutches. All things are learning experiences. Somehow it is better to have a few tough times likes bumps and bruises to think ahead about what is going to happen as the result of what's going on. Love you Ethan, Ashton, Lily, Jacob, Robin and Darren. And of course Yoda! And Truffle too.
wait? when did this happen? poor kid! at least it didn't happen during the "height" of trips to the water park! :)
