Uncle Derek, Thanksgiving, and Stuff

Darren just got back from his one month sniper school. They had this "hat" that everyone signed and the top shooter would get to take the hat home. Well, it's in Darren's possession, so you guessed it, he got top shooter! Way to go hun!

Day before Thanksgiving. I don't think I left the kitchen for very long from here until the end of Thanksgiving the next day. Here Lily and I are making the brine for the Turkey. Lily was awesome, she stayed with me in the kitchen the whole time helping her mommy cook! ;)
Uncle Derek (Darren's younger brother) came for Thanksgiving. The kiddos adore him!

Playing the Wii

Ashton with his uncle

Jacob and Mommy

Derek wanted to put on Darren's "kit".

Silly brothers

Intense game of chess

Making pizzas

The kids love when they can get involved. I try not to let my o.c.d shine through! ;)

Chef Derek making his pizza masterpiece

Chef Darren

Reaping the rewards.

Playing guitar with her uncle

Snapping green beans. I'm already looking tired and the meal isn't done yet!

More chess

Where I live

Dinner time!

Derek wanted to take an "after turkey" nap before he had to drive home, and the kids took over his bed!

Putting up lights outside.

Putting up the first tree, which would soon be knocked over by Jacob

you look so happy and wonderful :) I am totally OCD like that too... I watched my nephew today and he wanted to help wrap presents and its so hard to just let go of wanting things to be how I like them or disregard the mess and let them get involved! I am sure you do awesome though!

Such good family time pictures and the Thanksgiving holiday with you all together looks so happy and peaceful. I love you and know of the family blessings that come when you are together and eating and decorating and cooking. Robin you look great. Thin enough for me. Enjoy the new you, inside and out. Much love to you all.

I think I spent 24 hours in the kitchen too. The first thing I noticed on this post was how great you look! It looks like you had a great time at Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing.
