Camping and Surfing

Darren goes camping ALOT with the scouts. This time he was able to take Ethan and Ashton with him. They can't always go, but when they can, they really have fun! This time they went to the Outerbanks (OBX). So you get the best of both worlds: Camping and the beach!

After breakfast they headed to the beach. Ashton prefers to keep his feet firmly planted in the sand, and Ethan prefers to be as far out in the water as possible.

Skim Boarding

Ethan has done a lot of body boarding, but never any surfing. He got to try for the first time, and he did really well and learned really fast!

He came home sooooo tired! I wonder why? Way to go my little surfer dude!

Tid Bits

Here are a few little bits of recent happenings.

Boys first day of school. Ethan is now in the 4th grade and Ashton is in 1st. They are both enjoying school and doing really well!

Little Jacob

I was cooking dinner and heard Lily and Darren talking, I was curious and snuck around the corner and found them playing dolls. That was way too cute for me not to take a picture! What a good Daddy to play barbies with his daughter! ♥

This is what I have to clean up EVERY SINGLE day!!! Jacob is the messiest eater known to man! But I sure love that boy!

Crazy hair day at school. I was excited when the neighbor girl let me do her hair. There isn't much I can do with my boys short hair! I thought I did pretty good! ;)

We have a new resident to our backyard. This frog always returns to the same place everyday, and Ethan plays with him every day. I think they've bonded! ;) Yuck!

Best Cousins

I had to dedicate a post just to Lily and Cora. This is out of order, as it should be after the Kentucky post which is now below this one, but owell. These two little girls were so cute together our entire trip to Kentucky. I wanted to share some cute pictures of them from the trip. They are 5 months apart in age, but were basically inseparable during our visit!

Kentucky Trip

After we got home from Utah, we turned right around and drove to Kentucky to visit Darren's family. Here are some pictures from our trip there! We had a great time!
