Darren's father passed away January 3rd 2011. We went to Kentucky for the funeral. It was a somber experience. Good to be with all of the family, yet heartbreaking. A vivid reminder of how fragile life is. The church service funeral was on Friday, and the Military funeral was on Monday. No one's camera worked during the Military Service. That was the ONE place I wanted to capture pictures the most, and yet nothing was captured. Heartbreaking. We are grateful for the plan of salvation and the knowledge that we will see and be with Darren's father again some day. He is in a better place, but will be missed here greatly! ♥
